Dear friends,

MyPNI is organising a motivational talk by the VC of UM, Tan Sri Ghauth Jasmon on this Tuesday.
Tan Sri and delegates are on official visit to UK for a few days to meeting with their counter-parts of UK and Ireland including Queen's University.
We have been very grateful that we managed to get a slot for this talk.

Please come and join us, all QMC and MSSNI members are also invited. Dinner is provided.

MyPNI Annual Grand Meeting (AGM)

Dear All

This serves to notify that our Annual Grand Meeting (AGM) 2011/2012 will be held as follows:

Date:     28th May 2011 (Saturday)
Time:     2.00 pm
Venue:   MSC, 22 Adelaide Park

Pursuant to this notice, all members could raise any issues by submitting it to me via email before 22nd May 2011. All of the issues will be discussed during the meeting under the agenda of 'Other Matters'. Should there be any issues raised up, a new agenda of meeting will be posted before the meeting. Tentatively, the agenda of meeting is listed as below:

1. Welcome remarks by the President
2. Confirmation of the meeting minutes
3. Report on activities throughout the year 2010 - present
4. Other matters
5. Disbandment of MyPNI Committee 2010/2011
6. New election of MyPNI Committee 2011/2012
7. Closing remarks by the new President

UMIES 2011 Conference is now launched

United Kingdom - Malaysia - Ireland Engineering Science Conference 2011 (UMIES 2011) is open to malaysian postgraduate engineering students worldwide as well as foreign postgraduate students who are currently studying in Malaysia. UMIES 2011,which runs on 12th & 13th of July in University Malaya, aims to provide an excellent platform to Malaysian students to share and exchange research findings and ideas. The objectives of the conference are as follows:

  • To increase the involvement of Malaysian students in an internationally recognized conference.
  • To promote the value of knowledge sharing and networking among Malaysians as well as their international counterparts.
  • To strengthen the bond among the academic institutions of three countries in sharing new ideas and strengthen future research activities.

The conference will be divided into 7 themes in engineering sciences and related fields:

  1. Chemical, Bio process & Food Engineering.
  2. Civil & Environmental Engineering.
  3. Mechanical, Aeronautical & Material engineering.
  4. Manufacturing, Industrial & Design engineering.
  5. Biomedical & Biomechanics Engineering.
  6. Electronic & Electrical Engineering.
  7. Computer Science & Information Technology.

Students who have research backgrounds in engineering sciences and related technology fields are welcome to submit papers.
